2. Net block structure: There are two types of net block structures for wire mesh demisters: disc-shaped net blocks and strip-shaped net blocks.

1. Disk-shaped network block

The wire mesh is rolled into a mesh block with a reduced diameter. The thickness of the mesh block is equal to the width specification of the wire mesh . This mesh block makes full use of the wire mesh material and has no expected loss of corners. However, when rolling, it is required that each circle must be rolled with the same density, otherwise it is easy to cause short circuit and affect the defoaming effect. Disc-shaped mesh blocks should not be made by hand, but should be rolled mechanically to ensure rolling quality. The disc mesh block is only suitable for smaller diameter wire mesh demisters. 2. Strip net block: Strip net block is the most commonly used structure at present. It uses wire mesh to lay it out layer by layer to a specified number of layers, then puts a grille above and below the mesh layer, and then laminates the mesh to the required thickness, using distance rods and hooks to make it A whole piece. The shape and size of the strip mesh blocks vary with the nominal diameter and the number of blocks.

3. Installation of mesh blocks: When installing mesh blocks, there are two situations: from top to bottom and from bottom to top. This standard specifies the structure, type, specification, size, technical requirements, marking, selection and use regulations of wire mesh demisters .

This standard applies to gas-liquid separation equipment used in vertical cylindrical equipment in chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, light industry, environmental protection and other industries. It is used to separate mist entrained in gas with a droplet diameter larger than 3~5um.

The specification range of wire mesh demister is: DN300~DN5200mm (non-standard products are not restricted by the specification range).

1. Structure of wire mesh demister

The wire mesh demister is composed of a gas-liquid filter mesh pad (made up of several pieces of mesh quickly put together) and a support piece.

The mesh block is composed of several layers of flat (surrounded) corrugated gas-liquid filters, grilles and distance rods.

The support parts of the wire mesh demister generally include: beams, battens, pressure plates, ears, support plates, sealing plates, retaining rings, etc.

The support parts are made by the container equipment manufacturer. If necessary, a wire mesh demister manufacturer can also provide it, but this must be stated when ordering.

2. Types of wire mesh demister

There are two types of wire mesh demisters: top-mounted and bottom-mounted.

The diameter range of the top-mounted wire mesh demister is DN300~DN5200mm.

HG/T21586-1998 drawer-type wire mesh demister: The drawer-type HG/T21586-1996-1998 demister is mainly composed of a wire mesh and a rectangular wire mesh block instead of the original circular mesh block. During use, only 1~N disassembly openings are needed outside the tower body, and the strip wire mesh blocks can be directly inserted along the guide rails.

The drawer-type wire mesh demister has the following advantages: maintenance personnel do not need to enter the interior of the tower during maintenance, avoiding working under harsh conditions.
